BurgeraterBot
Our crawler, and how to opt out.
BurgeraterBot visits restaurants' own websites to read their public menus (dish names, descriptions, prices, sections) and basic facts like hours, so people can find a place by what it serves. Every menu we show from a website links back to that website.
How it behaves
- It identifies itself as
BurgeraterBot/1.0 (+https://burgerater.com/bot). - It follows
robots.txt, includingCrawl-delay, and never logs in or submits forms. - It reads only a restaurant's own public pages, a few per visit, spaced out per site, and revisits occasionally to pick up menu changes.
- It doesn't crawl delivery apps, review sites, or social networks.
Opting out
Block it in robots.txt with User-agent: BurgeraterBot / Disallow: /, or email [email protected] with your website and we'll stop crawling it and remove what we collected.
